About Glass Candy

My name is Rebecca Bigg & I am the Artist behind Glass Candy, a lampwork bead and jewellery design studio.

I live in South Guildford, Western Australia, with my husband Michael and two very unique little miniature daschunds, Sassie and Snickers.

Glass Candy started out as a hobby when we moved to Perth from Victoria in 2006. Making beaded jewellery gave me something to do while Michael was away and provided me with a little extra pocket money, which I of course re-invested in beads and findings.

I stumbled across Lampwork Beads in late 2006 at a local bead show and was immediatly hooked. I did some reading (good old Google) spoke with some experienced lampworkers, purchased a beginners kit and some texts then sat down to teach myself how to make glass beads. Nearly 5 years on I am still learning new techniques every day.

Glass Candy specialises in creating wearable art that speaks for itself. The pieces are all about the beads and displaying them to the best of their advantage.

Adventurous colour combinations, sculpted pendants and alluring feminine pieces are all part of the Design Portfolio. Glass Candy's range is eclectic and original and promises to Make a Statement.
