About the Pieces

All of my pieces are made using my own lampwork beads in addition to Australian recycled sterling silver.

Balinese sterling feature beads are also used in addition to high quality accent beads such as Swarovski crystals and faceted Chinese crystals.

The majority of necklaces are finished with Italian sterling chain, either curb or belcher, sterling crimps and heavy duty tiger tail (nylon coated steel wire).

I handmake most of my own headpins, scroll and hook clasps and a number of other findings and components from sterling wire. These components are all 'tumbled' to harden the silver and bring it to a high shine, and again, are made with Australian recycled silver.


Kerry Bogert, a NY designer, has heavily influenced my work through the release of her book Totally Twisted over the past 6 months. A number of my pieces feature coloured wire components and 'tumbleweed beads' as I like to call them, in addition to the bright and bold patterns and colours she uses in her work.

All pieces are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, stating that it is a Glass Candy original, not a copy and is made wholly by Glass Candy in Australia.
